This little boys name is Diego. He came forward and accepted Jesus in October 2006. In March he had an accident when he was cutting a coconut open with a machete and sliced his left thumb off. Here Beverly holds him and comforts him as David is changing his bandage and cleaning his wound. The doctors never told the parents how to care for the wound, and the bandage had been on for over 3 weeks at this point and it was infected. They were able to get the wound cleaned and disinfected and applied an antibiotic ointment before bandaging him back up. “You never know how God is going to use you, you just have to be willing and ready and let His Spirit lead you.” David said, “Which is what this ministry is all about, being the hands of Jesus and showing compassion, we truly are His hands to His work to bring Him the Glory!” |

This photo was taken the next day at Sunday school. Diego was back to his happy self and participating in class. Today Diego is doing just great and has adapted to not having his thumb. Diego has not yet been sponsored by anyone yet. Would you prayerfully consider sponsoring him or one of the many other children that we work with? |
