David & Beverly Varner founders of His Hands International first fell in love with the country and people of Guatemala when they took their first mission trip in 2005. Since then the Varner’s have worked with Hope Of Life International founded by Carlos & Cheryl Vargas, before branching out on their own to a new area in the mountains above Guatemala City.

For the last 2 years, the Varner’s have been working in the Sacatepéquez area of Guatemala. Providing hope and love in Jesus name to children and families in that area. Through their Christmas Shoes for Guatemala project they provide new tennis shoes, socks, and clothing to needy children, along with a word of encouragement from the Holy Bible. They have held medical clinics and have provided medicine for sick children and babies.

Over the past 2 years the Lord has been speaking to David’s heart about digging in and setting up camp in this area. In November of 2012 they bought land in the area and began to pray for the Lord to give them direction. In April 2013 they met with the architect and cast their vision of what the Lord has placed on David’s heart. In December 2013 they met with the architect. They were amazed to see how the Lord guided the architect to draw a set of plans that really caught their vision, and more! Truly God’s hand is in this project.

They are currently seeking prayer warriors, laborers, and donors to help build a state of the art clinic and educational center in Buena Vista, Sacatepéquez, Guatemala. This center will serve the indigenous children and families in the area. The Varner’s have been told that they are the first missionaries to work and provide help for their children. They continue to see more and more needs for the children’s health and education. Through this center they will provide preventative medicine as well as education. Through this process they hope to help stop unnecessary illnesses. The second step is to educate and provide skills that can be used in the future for providing for their family. But most importantly, providing hope in the salvation message of Jesus Christ.

You have gotten this far, now it is up to you. Are you going to just click on out of this page to the next web site or Facebook post? Or will you take a moment and pray for this project and the children and families that will be helped. Or will you take it a step further in an act of worship, and give? Here’s another one to pray about, we need workers, Lord will you also call me to go?
