We are so blessed more and more folks are stepping up to financially support our ministry. There have been times where we have gotten down to the last little bit in our freezer, and God spoke to hearts to provide. I always know that God will provide, but my flesh still at times gets a little nervous when funds are really low. Thank you to those individuals and churches who are supporting us on a monthly basis! Words can not express our heartfelt gratitude enough, so here are a few pics that will hopefully show the impact YOU are helping to make.
Weekly we feed between 70-130 children on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Each meal is highly nutritious and filling, which the kids love. We realize for a majority of these children, this is the most they will eat all week, so we do our best to make sure they are full before they leave.
Before the children eat, we always sing a song and give thanks to God for providing the food, we also teach them to give thanks for YOU who have provided the resources for us to do what we do. After their bellies are full, they are broken down into 3 age groups, 5-7, 8-10, 11+, which have their own class once a week. They then head upstairs to our Center of Dreams where we continue to provide Bible based lessons to feed their souls and minds.
Some lessons we use YouTube videos to back up the lesson, others are verbal with physical illustrations. Afterwards, the children are given worksheets that further develop and embed the lesson. These worksheets are from https://sermons4kids.com/ and are a vital resource to our ministry. They have a variety of activities that help the children in many ways, including developing cognitive skills. Below is a sample from a recent lesson.
The smiles on their face tell the story better than any works I can type on a page. It’s because of YOUR support these smiles are there. Without the needed finances, we could not feed their bellies, we could not have a PC, printer, ink, paper, colored pencils, sharpener, tables, chairs, etc….. It takes a lot of resources to have a first class facility and program. Our goal is to provide the best, always in everything we do. We give our best to God and not our leftovers, to be used for HIS glory!
After class and for the children that do not have class that day, we have other activities for them to have fun, which also create that spark of creativity. We have built a giant covered sandbox and have made a makeshift water park for them to play and cool off.
We have our future playground and splash pad area level and ready for when the LORD provides the funding. We have plans to build a small splash pad and a playground jungle fort, the kid’s can explore which will have creative and fun learning activities. These types of resources will allow us to draw more children to share the love of Jesus with them and their families. Below are some examples of the types of play area environments we are looking to create.
The plans are to create a safe and luxurious play area surrounded by beautiful landscaping. The water will be filtered and recycled. The electricity for the pumps and lighting will be supplemented with solar, which we have in abundance during our hot days that reach temps over 100 degrees.
We would appreciate your prayers and financial support for this project, as we try and finish up some other projects before the end of 2025. We would like to build this during the winter starting January 2026 and have this ready for the hottest season starting in April 2026.
