Until we finish our church here in the community, we have been visiting another local church for their morning services. Each week I take a family of three children along with their four cousins. The last few weeks we have taken the ATV because of mechanical issues with our trucks.

During church the children are soaking in the worship and teaching from the Bible. Recently, they had a chance to participate in the service through song. It brought joy to my heart to see them up on the stage with the other children.

Afterwards I bring them back to the Center of Dreams for lunch. Today, they all helped to prepare the lunch. With my limited cooking skills, I can do all things through Christ, right? Yes, you can! I helped teach them to make some very delicious brownies which we all enjoyed!

And of course who does not like licking the bowl! Sorry for the blurry pic they were all too excited and moving.

But lunch turned out beautifully and their plates were all clean asking for more. Grilled marinated chicken over rice with a fresh salsa puree and fresh chunky salsa on top.

Afterwards, we watched some Veggitales while also coloring.

Followed by the yummy brownies we made together.

God makes no mistakes, HE has placed you where you are to make a difference for HIS glory. For us on a normal day we have 70 to 130 children Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. But in special moments like this, you are with a smaller group. You can be an extended family to them. This is when you can truly demonstrate the love of Jesus. You can speak into their lives through your actions. Words are good, but if you are not showing love through your actions, it’s just noise. I Corinthians 13:1
Sadly today in many churches and ministries, there’s a lot of noise coming from their pulpits and their leaders. They have become puffed up and self-righteous. They seek affirmation and attention from their congregations. They do this instead of allowing the Holy Spirit to work naturally through their congregations for God’s glory. They may prophesy and understand all the mysteries and knowledge of God. They might even have the faith to move mountains. Yet, they lack the true genuine love as found in I Corinthians 13.
Lord Jesus, I pray we always stay focused on You. May our love not only be heard in our words, but also shown in our actions. Lord, may we never lose our focus on You. Let us not become puffed up seeking the glory for ourselves, even unknowingly. May You always get the glory in all we seek to do for You.
Over 20 years ago, the Holy Spirit gave me the slogan for our ministry. This slogan should be a daily prayer and reminder for us all. We are HIS hands, to do HIS work, to bring HIM the glory.
