13 Years of Faithfulness

Giovanny Martinez needs no introduction in Guatemala and to those who know him. For 13 years he has faithfully served with Radio Redencion as an on air personality and inspiration to tens of thousands of faithful listeners worldwide to his radio program. During the same time period he also served as the General Manager for all the Redencion Ministries.

With Giovanny, what you hear on the radio and who he is in the real world are one in the same. His words on the radio reflect his own walk. This I believe is why the Holy Spirit drew me to him some 13 years ago this month. We have developed a friendship that is deeper than family. We are connected in and through the Holy Spirit on a level that is not describable in words.

Over the years the Lord has placed a lot of people in my path. Over the years my trust has been tested and unfortunately broken time and time again. Because of my genuine desire to help those in need, I have been taken advantage of. There have been many wolfs in sheep’s clothing, looking out for themselves and not others. With Giovanny that has never been the case. Giovanny has the same hearts passion to put others before his own needs.

That is why without hesitation that when Giovanny felt the calling to move on and out of the office of being a General Manager for Radio Redencion, I offered him the position as my General Manager for His Hands International as well as Guat Sat Comunicacions, my business in Guatemala that helps provide jobs and funding for our community projects.

I can tell you for certain, his new position has him doing what his heart has been longing to do, serve the people of Guatemala. He is not chained to a desk or office. He has the freedom to visit families and pray with them when the call comes. And with the many projects His Hands International has going on, it keeps Giovanny running.

Giovanny has been an incredible friend over the years, one that I do not deserve. I am so blessed to have a man of his integrity at my side to walk the path that our Lord Jesus has us walking together. I look forward to seeing what God is going to do next through us, as we continue to follow the simple plan below that God has given us.

A year ago the Holy Spirit gave me 4 points to live by that have become the fuel for our ministry as well as my businesses: 1) Dream big! What ever you do, DO NOT PUT A BOX AROUND YOUR DREAMS OR WHAT GOD CAN DO! 2) Listen. Listen for that still small voice of the Holy Spirit to move you in a direction, or have you just stay still for the moment. 3) ACT! Step out in faith when you hear the voice! Dreams are not made reality if you do not act in faith. 4) The most important, GIVE GOD THE GLORY! Realize that you are not responsible for what just happened. It was the Holy Spirit working through you. So give that glory to whom it is deserved. JESUS CHRIST
